# How to open live preview on mac os. I downloaded DeepAR-MacOS-v5.1.1, what should I do with it?

how to open live preview on mac os. I downloaded DeepAR-MacOS-v5.1.1, what should I do with it?

You most likely downloaded the SDK. It only contains the framework for app developers to use to embed DeepAR in their app.

If you would like to preview effects, you can download the DeepAR Studio. Open or import the effect in the studio and click the preview button.

I have Studio installed  
does the preview work with Xcode 12.5.1 and macos Big Sur? Im getting en error opening the live preview

the preview doesn’t work on macOS Big Sur  
solved by updating to macOS to Ventura. It also works on Monterey
