# Developer trying to make her first filter

what is the best way to learn to work with the studio? i see all this fabulous face-filters and animations but so far i havent been able to make one and the documents are not much helpful since most of them are very brief and even old enough that the studio doesnt even look like the screenshots!
should i start by practicing more with blender or is there a course that i didnt find?

We understand it’s difficult to learn how to use Studio. It’s probably best to follow the [docs](https://docs.deepar.ai/deepar-studio/introduction/) for the main information.
You’ll probably need some asset creation knowledge and we suggest Blender tutorials. You can also check some SparkAR or Lens tutorials for asset creation since that step is pretty universal.
